Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo are writing another movie together.
The women who brought us Bridesmaids, Kristen Wiig and Annie Mumolo, are writing another movie.
While it is not going to be a Bridesmaids sequel, the New York Times reports that the two women are going to write, produce, star, and direct (well, just Wiig will be directing) a movie about ‘best friends who find themselves in over their heads and out of their depths, which were, perhaps, not too deep to begin with.’
In a statement, the wonderfully talented pair, said: ‘We’re very excited to be writing. We will be going into a cave for months to finish. An actual cave. We found one that’s nice and big. We’re putting a couch in there.’

1. This is as close to a Bridesmaids sequel as we’re going to get.
2. Hurrah for more female directors in Hollywood. The above mentioned New York Times article states that out of the 129 films due for wide release in 2014, only four are from female directors. Not cool.
Here are 5 of the best female directors of all time…
