Bradley Cooper reveals his date to this year’s Oscars is a woman very close to his heart
Bradley Cooper may have an army of admirers who’d happily be his date for the Oscars (team Marie Claire included) but he’s revealed he’d rather be accompanied by his mum as he walks the red carpet later this month.
In an interview on American TV show, Katie, Bradley confirmed reports he’s taking his mother to the Oscars. He said: ‘I am taking Gloria, well I hope so.’
As his voice shifted to a doubting tone, Bradley Cooper opened up about the damage so much media attention has on his family and that it may prevent his mum from attending the Academy Awards.
He added: ‘A couple of days ago she [Bradley’s mum] threatened not to go, because of the scrutiny, it’s rough. I said “But you can’t let that bother you.”’

While Bradley has always been keen to avoid any prying into his private life, including relationships, he refuses to let the huge interest in him hinder his enjoyment of the Oscars.
Bradley continued: ‘My father passed away two years ago. And the idea that I’m going to the Osars, I’m nominated with Daniel Day Lewis and Hugh Jackman and Denzel Washington and Joaquin Phoenix, I mean lets enjoy every second of this.’
And so he should!
