She's definitely not playing it safe

Blake Lively is determined to make a big impression on the Cannes red carpet this year - and so far, it's working.

The 26-year-old actress blew us away with her flawless debut at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday. After seeing her sophisticated burgundy Gucci dress we were thoroughly impressed and couldn't wait to see what she'd wear next.

Luckily, we didn't have to wait long. The next day, Blake took her second walk down the fashionable red carpet - but this time she went for a totally different look.

For day two, Blake chose a glitzy Chanel gown with a plunging neckline and a dramatic cinched waist (Chanel's signature feature for the season). She left her blonde hair in loose waves and accessorised with flower earrings, white pointy-toe courts and a matching shawl.

While her first dress was clean, sleek and polished, her second is a little more out there. With the lace, sequins and pockets, there's a lot going on - and it certainly makes a bold statement.

We've got to hand it to Blake for switching up her style and keeping us guessing. There's no chance we'll get bored following her Cannes appearances.
