Beyonce may have been laying low for a while, but the songstress was definitely back to her sizzling best as she took part in a video shoot in New York.

Dressed in a shimmering, space-age Marc Bouwer gown, Beyonce filmed the video for 2011 single I Was Here, at the General Assembly Hall of the United Nations.

Bey's special video will be released on World Humanitarian Day on August 19th, to encourage people to get involved in humanitarian work.

'We all see the headlines and we think, what can I really do to help? World Humanitarian Day is an opportunity for all of us to work together to make a difference,' she said.

'This is our time to leave our mark on the world and show that we were here and we care.'

Well said, Beyonce.

Yesterday, Bey shared a series of intimate new snaps on her Tumblr. website, including pictures of her feed baby Blue Ivy (dressed in a tiny Watch The Throne tee!), and snuggling up to Jay-Z.

Cute!
