Arctic Monkeys front man Alex Turner and television host Alexa Chung have split after four years together, a rep for the pair has confirmed.
Rumours that all was not well between the stylish couple first surfaced earlier this year, when they attended a string of the same industry events, but were not spotted together.
‘Things haven’t been going well and they haven’t seemed like a couple for the past few weeks,’ one insider told the Mirror. ‘At Glastonbury festival, they barely said a word to each other.
‘Alexa was out seeing bands with all her buddies like Pixie Geldof and Fifi Brown, while Alex was on his tour bus chilling with his band.
‘They really wanted to give it a go to hold it together and seemed to be getting back on track – but things got bad again and they both decided enough was enough.’

And yesterday a spokesman for the couple confirmed the split, revealing: ‘It’s completely amicable – but yes it’s true. They have split.’
Although we’re yet to discover the reason behind the break-up, reports suggest Alex and Alexa simply grew distant, after their hectic work schedules meant they were spending increasing amounts of time apart.
‘Alexa has moved all her stuff out and is concentrating on getting her American TV career back on track,’ another source revealed.
‘Alex has gigs in America next month, but none of them are on the East Coast. Then he is planning a UK tour.
‘They are very busy and have grown apart, but want to keep the news quiet.’
