Congratulations, Adele and Simon!

Adele was spotted wearing a plain gold band on her ring finger in January, sparking rumours that the singer had married her long-term partner, Simon Konecki, in secret.
Speculation grew stronger when she mentioned him in her acceptance speech at the Grammy awards last month, thanking her ‘husband’ and her four year old son, Angelo, telling them both, ‘you’re the only reason I do it.’
It was just this week, however, whilst performing at a concert in Brisbane that Adele finally put the rumours to rest, confirming once and for all that the couple were married.
‘That feeling when you first fall for someone is the best feeling on earth and I am addicted to that feeling’, she explained to the Australian crowd before performing her most famous ballad, Someone Like You.
She continued: ‘Obviously, I can’t go through with those feelings because I’m married now. I’ve found my next person.’
Despite referring to Konecki as her ‘partner’ while answering questions from reporters in the backstage press room of the Grammy awards, many took her slip-of-the-tongue to mean that the London-born singer had in fact already married Konecki in a very private ceremony - and they were correct.
Adele has always been keen to keep her private life out of the public eye, and the couple already got the rumour mill churning last month when she was spotted wearing a ring on her wedding finger.
The couple, who are parents to 4-year-old Angelo, have always tried to keep their relationship out of the spotlight, which could explain why they kept it under wraps.
Adele, who very rarely discusses her private life, told Vanity Fair: ‘I have no desire to be with anyone in show business because we all have egos.
‘He’s not threatened by any stage of my life that I’m going for, and that’s an amazing thing.
‘It’s the most serious relationship I’ve ever been in.’
Konecki did, however, make headlines last year when he made a sweet declaration of love on their fifth anniversary by replacing falling confetti with thousands of love notes during one of Adele’s concerts, filling them with words about how much he loved her.
