Abigail Clancy and footballer Peter Crouch are engaged.

The 23-year-old model is set to join the legion of official WAGs, after her beau popped the question while the pair were holidaying in Sardinia.

Reports reveal that the lanky Portsmouth striker chose to keep things traditional, dropping down on one knee to propose to Clancy.

One source told The Sun the model burst into tears and agreed to become Mrs Crouch.

‘Abbey was thrilled,’ revealed the source.

‘She didn't have to think about it and said 'Yes' immediately. She cried tears of joy and melted into his arms. It was such a happy, romantic and magical moment.’

The pair have been dating for four years and according to reports, 6ft 7in England footballer Crouch decided ‘it was time to take their relationship a step further’.

In true WAG style, it seems we can look forward to a fairytale wedding to rival the likes of Coleen and Wayne, with news that the duo are planning a ‘huge’ celebration.

No date is set yet, however, and there’s no sign of bride-to-be Abigail sporting a sparkler. Come on Peter, pull your finger out!
