And the all-important products and tools to make your life a little easier…
This is a Marie Claire Advertorial. We're all guilty of getting stuck in a rut when it comes to how we wear our hair so with the new season ushering itself in, now is the perfect time to switch things up. Big curls are huge right now and there are plenty of ways to tap into the trend, even for those of us who don't happen to be blessed with them naturally - you'll need to invest in the right products and tools to achieve salon–worthy results, though.
But if curls aren't your thing, why not go sleek and straight for spring? Cloud Nine has all style bases covered with its range of professional products and heated styling tools, so all that's left for you to do is master how to use them.
Here are some of our favourite new season hairdos with step-by-step guides to help you reach your #hairgoals...

Step 2: Spritz ends with some water and light styling spray before blowdrying in large sections with a dressing brush to get a smooth finish.
Step 3: Start on one side and work your way to the other side, working with vertical sections. Wrap each section around the barrel of the wand once and let it set for 10 seconds before releasing. As each curl is formed, wind it up and clip against the head to cool.
Step 4: Once the back and sides are set, drop the top section down and repeat this technique. You should have approximately 12 big curls pinned up.
Step 5: Using a bristle brush, brush through the style to shape the wave.
How to master… Sleek and Straight
You'll need: The Cloud Nine Touch Iron or Micro Iron, Shine Spray, Paddle Brush and Micro Iron.
Step one: Prepare hair by blowdrying with a paddle brush, which will give a root lift and a slight polish to the ends. Tap the plates of The Cloud Nine Touch to activate heat-up to the desired temperature. Starting from the nape of your neck, take thin horizontal sections and use The Touch Iron to smooth hair from the root to ends.
Step three: Use the Micro Iron on any flyaways around your hairline. Bend the iron slightly for a subtle curve in the hair that will hug to the shape of your head. Finish with a shine spray.
How to master…Cascading Soft Curls
You'll need: The Cloud Nine Original Wand, Dressing Brush, Light Hold Hairspray and some water spray.
Step one: Section dry hair from temple to temple, then ear to ear, to create three sections. Set your Cloud Nine Original Wand to medium.
Step two: Starting at the bottom and working up, lightly spray thin vertical sections with water. Curl for 6-8 seconds, release and let the curl cool.
Step three: Take sections from the top and wrap the hair around the wand to add volume at the roots.
Step four: Spray curls with the light-hold hairspray and brush into a smooth wave or shake apart for soft, bouncy curls.
