If you're joining the likes of Beyoncé and Amal Clooney and expecting your own bundle of joy this summer, you're probably scouring the internet for some baby name inspiration. It's possible you're considering one of the most popular names of this year so far, or you're completely smitten with one of these monikers that are most likely to make people smile.

But if you're looking something that's more on trend, you may want to take a look at these water-inspired names. Research from Emma's Diary shows that 42% of parents are nature themed names for their little ones this summer, taking inspiration from water, flowers and gems when it comes to girls names, and the sun and the natural world for little boys.

The most popular little girls names are Lily, Daisy and Rose, with 20% of parents opting for the more unusual Oceana, Coral and Sky. Boys are following the theme, with 22% of parents naming their sons River, Fisher and Kai - which is Hawaiian for 'sea'.
