'We have a huge amount of love and respect for each other'

YouTuber couple Tanya Burr and Jim Chapman have announced their split after 12 years together.

There has been a lot of speculation around Tanya and Jim, who wed four years ago, with the two social media celebrities seeming to stop posting about each other in recent months.

Today, they cleared up the rumours, issuing public statements detailing their separation.

‘Just wanted to let you all know that a few weeks ago Jim and I made the painful decision to no longer be together,’ Tanya posted to her Instagram. ‘We have a huge amount of love and respect for each other and will continue to remain friends forever.’

Jim also spoke out about the news, posting a separate statement to his social media channels.

‘Thank you in advance for respecting our privacy at this difficult time,’ he wrote. ‘After twelve incredible years, Tan and I have decided to go out separate ways.

‘We're still absolutely the best of friends and have nothing but love and respect for each other. We will continue to support one another in all of our ventures and are both looking forward to what the future holds.’

Why did the couple break up? According to The Sun, a source close to them explained,’ Jim and Tanya are both really sad but the split has been done with love and respect for each other.

‘They will stay friends for sure. There was no one to blame they just grew apart.’

Our thoughts are with Tanya and Jim.
