Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Philippe agree on why their marriage broke down

And it's heartbreaking...
Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Philippe may have broken up over a decade ago but we’re still not over it, with Cruel Intentions fans still reminiscing over the old days, when the two Rs were nineties couple goals.
Tying the knot when they were in their early 20s, the couple split after eight years of marriage. And while the former couple remain amicable, co-parenting their two children, both Reese and Ryan tend to stay tightlipped on their relationship.
They can however agree on the reasons behind their break up, with both Reese and Ryan having spoken out on the subject in the past.
'I think more of the problem was age,' Ryan opened up in an interview with Larry King back in 2015. 'When we got together we were so young. I think it can create issues with two people in this industry because there's so much noise that goes along with it.'
Reese agreed two years later in a 2017 interview with ITV's Lorraine.
'I got married when I was 23 and I had two kids by the time I was 27. So I don’t know, you know, sometimes it’s good to know yourself,' she explained. 'I would never change anything. I've said to my daughter, I think, you know, [at] 25, you start to know yourself a little bit better.'
