Meghan Markle announced her pregnancy just over a week ago, days before their royal tour, with the couple arriving in Tonga just this morning.
Both Prince Harry and Meghan have spoken about their excitement at their new arrival, with the Duke of Sussex even mentioning their exciting news in his speech at the opening ceremony at the Invictus Games.
‘Thank you for the welcome you have given Meghan and I over the last few days,’ Prince Harry announced in his speech. ‘I have been so proud to be able to introduce my wife to you and we have been so happy to be able to celebrate the personal joy of our newest addition with you all.
Since then, the newlyweds have been melting the hearts of the nation with their excitement, with Meghan telling a local how excited the two are to ‘join the club’ and become parents, and Harry dropping hints that he’d love a girl, and even telling a fan called Harriet that he might use her name as inspiration for his future baby.
But aside from the buzz, the royal couple were yet to speak candidly about pregnancy – something which can be incredibly tiring – especially on a royal tour!
Now however, that’s all changed as Meghan opened up about pregnancy – and she said what we were all thinking.
While visiting Australia’s Bondi Beach to talk mental health with OneWave, Meghan reportedly sat down with 35-year-old local Charlotte Waverley, who she opened up to about her experience with pregnancy so far.
‘Meghan told me that pregnancy was like having jet lag,’ Charlotte Waverly told Sky News. ‘She said she was up at 4.30am this morning doing yoga in her room as she couldn’t sleep.’
Yet again – Meghan saying what we were all thinking!
