Meghan Markle apparently used to 'idolise' this member of the Trump family

Wait, WHAT?

Wait, WHAT?

Ivanka Trump is a controversial figure, publicly ridiculed and made unwelcome from joining women-led movements like the Time’s Up campaign after condoning and even promoting her father’s polices.

It was even reported earlier this year that the 36-year-old has started exercising in the dark to avoid being recognised and targeted.

There was a time however when Ivanka wasn't considered such a divisive figure. In fact, once upon a time, Ivanka Trump boasted a lot of fans, one of whom being the now Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.

That's right. According to Andrew Morton's new biography, Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, the former Suits actress 'idolised' Ivanka Trump, even writing a blog post dedicated to her in her now-discontinued blog, The Tig.

'Don’t get me started on her jewelry collection: the late-night "window shopping" I have done on my computer, snuggled up in my bed with a glass of wine, staring longingly at the beautiful designs,' Morton quotes Meghan for having posted on her blog. 'And there are the shows, the home collection, the clothing and the natural extension of her brand with a kids’ collection — a smart choice given that she is now a proud mama.'

Meghan's former post is even said to have referenced that the two women were planning on meeting up for drinks, something the now Duchess of Sussex seemed to be very excited about.

'When we have drinks, I will make sure I order whatever she does,' Meghan posted about their potential meeting. 'Because this woman seems to have the formula for success (and happiness) down pat.'

We don't know if these drinks ever took place, but we doubt Meghan would write a blog post about the First Daughter and Assistant to the President now!
