And it’s hilarious.

And it’s hilarious.

Game of Thrones doesn’t have a great history with weddings (See the Red Wedding for details), so fans were surprised when two of its stars, Kit Harington and Rose Leslie, gave a nod to the show in the run up to their special day.

That’s right, it has been reported that Kit Harington and Rose Leslie’s wedding invitations all include a picture of Jon Snow himself, in limited edition stamp form.

‘The 200 guests invited to see the 31-year-old marry his co—star Rose Leslie at a Scottish castle were tickled to see the envelopes were adorned with a stamp featuring Kit as Jon Snow,’ read a report by the Daily Mail.

’They organised the wedding quickly because they didn’t want information to leak,’ a source reportedly told the Daily Mail. ‘But putting Kit’s face on the envelope might be a bit of a giveaway, at least for postmen across the country.’

HBO

The couple, who announced their engagement last September, met on the Game of Thrones set, so it’s only fitting that they have made the show a big part of their day, with filming for the show supposedly even pausing production for the festivities.

‘I rang him up and I said, “I’m getting married and it’s your fault, actually,’ Kit Harington recalled on The Jonathan Ross Show of breaking the news to the Game of Thrones producer. ‘I was like, “You need to factor in a Game of Thrones wedding, by the way. [The cast] have all got to be there, so the whole thing has got to shut down.’

Will the Game of Thrones theme extend to dress code though? According to Kit, there’s no way, with the actor telling Jonathon Ross in an interview last year, ‘There is absolutely no chance of me convincing [Rose] of that.’

We’ve got a feeling that there might be a few more Game of Thrones references popped in the nuptials, but we’ll have to wait and see.
