Congratulations are in order for Dawn O'Porter and Chris O'Dowd

'Happy to announce I am the proud owner of this chirpy little chap'

2017 is undoubtedly the year of celebrity babies, with both Beyoncé and Jay-Z and George and Amal Clooney welcoming twins in the past few months. Celebrity mums are announcing newborns left, right and centre this year, from Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Zooey Deschannel and Irina Shayk to Gal Gadot and Natalie Portman.

The latest celebrity baby news comes from TV presenter Dawn O'Porter, who took to her Instagram on Wednesday to announce the news that she and husband Chris O'Dowd had welcomed their second child.

'Happy to announce I am the proud owner of this chirpy little chap,' she captioned the snap of her baby boy. 'Born July 1st, his name is Valentine O’Porter, and he is so delicious. Two sons, my goodness #soinlove.'

Dawn and Irish actor Chris have been married since 2012, welcoming their first son, Art, in January 2015.

Valentine and Art might be rare names for now, but we're sure they will be on the 2017 most popular baby names list by the end of the year.

Dawn broke the news that the couple were expecting a baby back in January on the podcast Get On It.

'Hope your 2017 is going really well,' she announced to the listeners. 'Mine certainly is! I am starting a new novel this week, I'm about to turn 38 and I am pregnant.'
