Princess Beatrice looks to the high street for racing style
Princess Beatrice embraced recession chic at Royal Ascot yesterday, having a high street style moment as she joined her fellow royals.
While her contemporaries were clad in the likes of Vivienne Westwood and Fendi, the Princess looked to Topshop and Office for her race-ready ensemble, donning a £90 white jacket from the Kate Moss collection and £65 two-tone Mary Janes.
And though she clearly has a penchant for high street buys, she still added a touch of high-end style, topping off her look with a Philip Treacy monochrome fascinator.
The first day of the racing bonanza kicked off yesterday, and saw no shortage of well-known faces.
Britain’s Got Talent’s Amanda Holden joined fellow judge Simon Cowell for a flutter, and played the scarlet lady in a Fendi shift and peep-toe Louboutins, while Katherine Jenkins sported an eye-catching hot fuchsia dress, with coordinating hat and nude heels.
