Destiny's Child will release new material for the first time in eight years

Beyonce has announced that Destiny's Child are making a comeback. To make things even better, we also heard the news, yesterday, that Justin Timberlake is releasing a new album. Double joy.

Beyonce Knowles shared the happy news with the world via her website, writing: 'I am so proud to announce the first original Destiny's Child music in eight years!'

Don't get too excited, though. The girls are actually only releasing one new song, which will feature on their compilation album, Love Songs, to be released 29 January.

The new single called Nuclear is produced by Pharrell Williams and co-written by him and Michelle Williams.

Destiny's Child, comprising of Beyonce Knowles, Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland, haven't worked together since their fifth album Destiny Fulfilled was released in November 2004.

Since then the girls have gone on with their solo careers to varying degrees of success. As we all know, Beyonce is now one of the biggest stars in the world and has headlined Glastonbury and performed for Barack Obama at his inauguration ball, Kelly has been a judge on the X Factor and Michelle starred in the London production of Chicago.
