'I was in L.A. [when Harper took her first steps],' the actress told American magazine People at a glitzy bash in New York over the weekend.
'I saw the Tweet, but Victoria had emailed me a picture earlier.'

Victoria Beckham touched down in Dublin last week of a presentation at department store Brown Thomas earlier today - but it was little Harper Beckham who really stole the show.
Holding tightly to Victoria's hand, the adorable tot took her first steps in public, drawing 'oohs' and 'ahhs' from onlookers as she toddled along behind her mum.
