With the Deathly Hallows DVD release date almost upon us, we’re eagerly awaiting our next Harry Potter fix. Which is why we were delighted to get our hands on an extra-special snippet of author J.K. Rowling talking about the final movie.
Spilling the beans on the women of Harry Potter, the famous author has revealed she particularly wanted the film's female characters involved in the fight against Voldermort.
‘I don’t like the marginalisation of women when the fight breaks out,’ she revealed of the epic battle at the end of the final film. ‘We get to fight too.’
Speaking of how she battled bosses to keep the movie script true to the book, she added: ‘There was an early draft where Harry took on Snape in the earlier confrontation, but I really didn’t want that to happen.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 is released on Blu-ray, DVD and Triple Play on December 2nd.
