Angelina's met the Pope... What have you been doing today?
Angelina Jolie’s directorial debut now has a holy blessing after the actress treated the Pope to a private screening at The Vatican this afternoon.
Pope Francis watched war epic Unbroken, the first major film Angelina has directed, in an exclusive screening held with the Political Academy of Sciences.
‘Being invited with my film to the Vatican is an honor and a great tribute to the story that I have told in Unbroken,’ Angelina said in a statement. ‘The story of the hero Louis a great example of strength and forgiveness.’
‘Pope Francis, aware of the incredible life story of Louis Zamperini, graciously welcomed the opportunity to view the film,’ Universal Pictures Italia added.
Brad Pitt and daughters Shiloh and Zahara are also thought to have attended the VIP meet-and-greet session.
Last year Angelina became an honorary dame after meeting the Queen… is she now going for sainthood?!
