Meghan Markle’s mum’s nickname for her is the sweetest thing you’ll hear all day

This is too much.

This is too much.

Meghan Markle and her mother, Doria Ragland, have always had a close relationship, with the 61-year-old yoga teacher tipped as the most likely to walk Meghan down the aisle following the news that her father, Thomas Markle, is missing the nuptials.

While the potential eventuality of Meghan’s strong and ‘free-spirited’ mother walking her down the aisle is uplifting news, it comes in second place in the sweetest Meghan and Doria Ragland news of the day.

First place? Meghan Markle’s nickname from her mum has been revealed - and it’s lovely.

The 36-year-old revealed the nickname in an old post on her former lifestyle blog, The Tig - but it has only just come onto our radar.

‘I’m consistently asked how I keep a foot in two contrasting worlds - one in the entertainment industry, predicated on wealth and indulgence, and the other in humanitarian work,’ Meghan wrote in a post entitled, ‘How to Be Both’. 'To me, it’s less of a question of how can you do this, and more a question of how can you not?’

The post continued: ‘“I don’t know, Flower. You were just born that way.” This is my mom’s response to the aforementioned question, and indicative of the character traits she knows me to have so well: opinionated, driven, and with a deep desire to affect change. “It’s just who you are,” she says. (And yes, she calls me, “Flower.”)’

Yes - Meghan Markle’s nickname is flower, and we’re never going to get over it.

This is lovely.
