The real reason Gwyneth Paltrow went to the Met (after declaring she never would again)

After she said the 2013 gala 'sucked'

When Gwyneth Paltrow was spotted at the Met Gala this year, the world gasped. Why? Because back in 2013, she said of the ball: 'it sucked. It seems like it's the best thing in the world, you always think, 'Oh my god, it's gonna be so glamorous and amazing and you're going to see all these people. And then you get there and it's so hot and it's so crowded and everyone's pushing you.'

Before this scathing comment which followed with a vow to never attend the affair again, Gwyneth was always on the best Met Ball dresses of all time lists.

This year, the 44-year-old returned to the Met Gala since she's teamed up with Anna Wintour (the event's organiser) to consult on her lifestyle brand, Goop, and help create a magazine brand which will come out four times a year if rumours are to be believed.

The collaboration will happen sometime next year and Anna Wintour has said: 'I've long known Gwyneth to have wonderful taste and vision -- but with Goop she has built something remarkable, a thoroughly modern take on how we live today.'

Wearing Calvin Klein to the ball, Gwyneth seemed to have a good time this year, having let bygones be bygones. But, we have to admit, it's refreshing to hear someone being so candid about the seemingly glamorous event.
