Trend 1: 70s
Hannah Lewis, Fashion Assistant
‘I’ve gone for a brown cowskin coat from Jaeger. For me, this trend is all about channelling a western Seventies vibe. This coat can be worn again and again, and will look better and better the more it’s worn in. It’s the perfect-length boxy coat, which makes it so easy to take from day to night. For this day look I have styled it with a shaggy jumper from Marks & Spencer, ‘shaggy’ being a key Seventies texture. I love lots of dainty gold jewellery, which is handily perfect for this, now I am totally embracing the hippy vibe! Make your Seventies look as sophisticated as I have with these slip-on black shoes from Office.’

‘My key piece is this pair of Zara knee-high boots, they’re super-glam – I like to think a bit Michelle Pfeiffer, except she’d be wearing hers with a slinky dress (as would I if it weren’t so cold). They’re also beyond comfy and because they have a chunky heel, ideal for running around in-between shows. By teaming mine with this classic Seventies fine-knit roll-neck from AllSaints, and my oversize Zara leather trim coat, I’ve done Seventies my way: a little bit subtle and a lot chic.’

Holly Welch, Junior Fashion Editor
‘I love the Seventies trend, it brings out my inner hippy – which to be honest doesn’t need much encouragement at all. I’ve gone for a super-floaty, flowery ‘Summer of Love’ dress from H&M. My ever-faithful Schott NYC biker jacket adds a bit of a rockier, edgier vibe, and toughens it up. An extra twist is by wearing trainers, rather than a classic wedge or strappy sandal, but these fab Converse at Shuch high-tops nod to the Seventies, especially with their suede finish. The Bucket bag is THE bag shape to be seen with this season, and this amazing Oushka one has a tassel. I mean, could it get any better?!’
