Worried about bagging that dream new-season buy from Marks & Spencer? Worry no more. Here's what you need to know about the retailer's latest shopping concept...
Marks & Spencer has unveiled their new Autumn Winter 2016 collection, and the good news there is, it goes on sale today.
Previously a privilege of the media and a selection of key fashion editors, an Autumn Winter collection preview is shown well in advance and doesn’t land in stores to buy until the end of summer. Until now.
Joining the likes of Burberry and Tom Ford with the see-now, buy-now shopping model, the hero high street retailer has brought forward the release of the achingly cool collection by three months, allowing the customer a sneak peek of what’s in store, alongside the chance to invest in a handful of the key new-season styles.
So what’s on offer among the tight Big Easy edit? Think sleek, versatile separates designed to be worn together or alone, beautiful floral prints, buttery soft leather culottes and plenty of stylish workwear essentials.
If the idea of looking at autumn wares ahead of the balmy summer weather seems a little premature, you’ll be pleased to hear it’s not all camel coats and chunky knits. Those clever folk over at Marks & Spencer have highlighted key pieces that will not only work for next season, but right now with a little careful styling.
That white belted shirt dress is ideal for day or night thrown-on with flat leather slides. No wardrobe is complete without a silky camisole, and the black square neck version is a bit of a hero buy with it’s wear-with-anything potential. Or, why not try the black loose-fit midi dress, complete with side split for one of many glitzy events on the summer calendar.
So if the grey weather is currently leaving you feeling a little floored styling-wise, we’d highly recommend getting ahead of the curve and snapping-up some of the hottest pieces from the new range to ensure you’re wardrobe is up to speed. And lets face it, plenty of these pieces will work perfectly with our summer wardrobes thanks to the ever-unpredictable great British weather.
