The supermodel closed the Louis Vuitton show for the second season running in Paris
Last season Kate Moss made a triumphant return to the catwalk after a seven-year absence during the fetish-inspired Louis Vuitton show, and today she closed the collection for the luxury French brand once more in an all-together softer look.
For autumn/winter 2011, Louis Vuitton’s Creative Director, Marc Jacobs, had the supermodel strutting down the runway in a dominatrix-style ensemble – think skimpy black hotpants, leather gloves and kinky lace-up boots – and smoking a cigarette.
This time around, Kate wore a far more demure look from the oh-so-pretty and sweet ‘60s-inspired spring/summer 2012 collection. The supe started the show sat on top of a white carousel horse, as did all the other models, before jumping off and walking around the large circular runway to rapturous applause in a white floral lace dress decorated with soft marabou feathers. Kate’s LV look was completed with some white courts and her hair primly held back in a delicate gold Alice band.
The Louis Vuitton show was held at the Cour Carree du Louvre in front of a well-heeled crowd, as Paris Fashion Week came to a close for another season. And when quizzed about Kate’s inclusion in the LV show, designer Marc Jacobs revealed: ‘She asked to be in the show and she’s a very dear friend, so I was happy to oblige.’
And with star power like hers, why wouldn’t you?
