The luggage tag invitation for the Spring/Summer Louis Vuitton show gave no clue as to what we had in store and arriving at the Cour Carree de Louvre we were none the wiser.

Then at 10.30am sharp (Mr Jacobs likes to be punctual) a vast central column lifted to reveal a fairground carousel with models perched demurely on white horses.

The look was very 50s with full skirts in white Broderie Anglais, sherbet pinks and baby blues. A daisy motif was carried throughout with cut outs, clutches and even hairpieces taking on the shape. But the girlie look was never allowed to turn too saccharine with killer silver stilettos and metallic clutches.

The merry-go round of fashion came to an end with Kate Moss walking the final look of the show.

In contrast to her black pants, boots and fag-toting vixen persona from the A/W’11 show, Ms Moss wore virginal white, strutting in a sequined feather Broderie Anglais dress and tiara.

A fitting finale from the princess of style and a true fashion moment from the S/S’12 shows.
