Kate Moss will return to Topshop next summer, with a brand new SS14 range, three-and-a-half years since she released her last collection.

The high street brand announced the surprising news this morning, stating that the supermodel will return to the brand to 'deliver a new take on her style inspirations and unrivalled position as THE true British fashion icon'.

The brand adds that it felt the 'time was right' for 39-year-old Kate to re-collaborate and celebrate British fashion. They said: 'This new phase in this partnership highlights the great close working relationship between Topshop and Kate Moss and is the culmination of two great British establishments coming together.'

The new Kate Moss collection for Spring/Summer 2014 will be sold in Topshop stores globally and through Topshop.com, and we're already predicting a sell-out.

Kate says: 'I have really missed being involved in the design process, and working with the team at Topshop. I'm very excited to create a new collection that bears my name. Now more than ever with London being at the forefront of fashion as it feels like I’m back home working with Topshop.'

Kate is currently working on the initial design aspects of the collection, but it's unlikely we'll get a sneak peak before the new range hits stores.

Sir Philip Green told us: 'I am personally thrilled that Kate wanted to come back to Topshop to work with us again. The first time around was such a lot of fun and she has been sorely missed. The Topshop business has developed extensively around the globe since we launched with Kate in 2007, and it's our intention to launch and sell this collection in all 40 countries worldwide where Topshop has a presence, in addition to creating pop-ups in department stores around the globe.'

Here's hoping for another epic launch with a Topshop-clad Kate fronting the London flagship store's new window display like a real-life mannequin. The supermodel will be working closely with her stylist friend Katy England for the ad campaign. So expect something amazing.

The Kate Moss SS14 Collection will hit stores in April. Elbows at the ready...
