Giles Deacon has produced a limited edition range of super stylish 3D glasses for LG - so we caught up with the designer to talk telly, technology and geek chic.
No stranger to a collaboration and never without a pair of spectacles himself, who better to transform 3D googles into something altogether more glamorous?
'I wanted to get involved in this project because I am constantly inspired by technology and 3D is something I find really interesting', says Giles. 'I love glasses too so it's something I like to play around with for a change from clothing'.
Famed for his bold prints and statement designs, Giles' latest offerings for LG are no different: 'I wanted to create a really colourful frame which incorporated one of my favourite patterns - TV interference. I used a process called data bending to create this pattern.'
And will Giles be wearing his own glasses for some 3D viewing?
'My designs work with the LG TVS and at most cinemas, so next time I visit, I'll definitely wear them.'
So what's the designer's must-see movie?
'I'd most like to see Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds remastered into 3D - that would be incredible!'
The 3D TV glasses are available exclusively at Selfridges Oxford Street and www.selfridges.com for £29.99
