If, like us, you regularly frequent David Beckham’s Instagram, you may recall that back in May he posted a selfie with the utterly hilarious Kevin Hart, teasing to his upcoming H&M campaign. Captioned: 'Back together again ❤️❤️ ... @hm @kevinhart4real #selectedbybeckham #ontheroad', the fruits of their labour have finally been revealed.
With no location tag to give the game away, we now know that Beckham and Hart were filming just outside of Los Angeles with the Swedish super-retailer. Set on a road trip to Las Vegas, and picking the story up from their first H&M campaign together, Kevin is prepping to play the role of 'David' in the faux-production of I, Beckham: The Musical (how much do you wish that was a real show?).
Unlike his campaigns for his Bodywear underwear collection for H&M, Becks is all covered up in this one; he and Hart twin in identical zip-up flying jackets with faux fur collars, worn with matching turtlenecks and block stripe knitted jumpers.
Now in it's third season, the Modern Essentials selected by David Beckham AW16 collection is a continuation on the previous offerings; a capsule wardrobe of slickly tailored everyday basics designed by the former footballer.
'It’s great to have the opportunity once more to show the world what everyone really knows, that I am the true inspiration for David Beckham’s style. He copies everything from me,' jokes Hart.
'I loved shooting the first campaign with Kevin for H&M so much, we just had to do a sequel,' adds Beckham. 'This time we’ve pushed the story even further. I hope everyone likes it, we certainly enjoyed filming it.' Decide for yourself below...
So, what can you expect from the new line? The perfect powder blue shirt, a classic double-breasted pea coat, boot-cut jeans a-plenty and some cool knitted jumpers that we'll definitely be buying for ourselves.
The collection will be available in every H&M store that carries menswear, as well as at www.hm.com, from 29th September 2016.
