Luxury skincare brand Creme de la Mer has teamed up with the Blue Marine Foundation to release a limited edition moisturiser as part of World Ocean Day.
Unveiling the exclusive 100ml cream at a celebrity packed luncheon at Sotheby's, London, Creme De La Mer brand manager Taj Giles explained how the collaboration with the Blue Marine Foundation is the perfect partnership.
'Our founder Dr Max Hubert pioneered the use of sea kelp so the ocean is really at the heart of our brand. This partnership is so exciting as it's not only raising awareness of the beauty of sea and but its fragility too.'
Guests who attended the champagne luncheon and private preview of the Gunter Sachs art collection included Bianca Jagger, Lara Bohinc, Yasmin Le Bon and Roksanda Ilincic.
Le Bon who revealed she is in the midst of planning a sailing holiday said that the renowned cream is her handbag essential: 'It's my absolute essential but my daughters love it too which means I have to hide it so they don't use it all.'
Fashion designer Roksanda Ilincic who is also planning a break away gave us a sneak peek of what to expect from her S/S13 collection: 'It's all inspired by art so I'm loving today. I'm continuing with lots of colours, red, oranges and pinks.'

The designer, whose creations were recently worn by Michelle Obama and Kate Middleton, described it as a big honour to dress 'such strong independent women renowned for their style.'
The Blue Marine Foundation was set up in 2010 with the aim of increasing marine reserves from 1% to 10% over the next ten years. Chairman of the foundation Charles Clover explained that, through creating public-private partnerships, the charity aims on fixing the largest problem on the planet.
'This collaboration with Creme De La Mer is a wonderful match. All we are trying to do is to get people to care more about sea and this partnership provides the perfect opportunity to do so.'
The limited edition 100ml moisturiser will be available from June.
