The Girls Aloud star is reportedly in talks with Channel 4 to host a new fashion TV programme
Despite being sensationally axed from her role as a judge on the US X Factor, Cheryl Cole obviously hasn’t let it put her off exploring new TV ventures, as news reaches us that she’s in talks to host a fashion show.
According to reports, the Girls Aloud singer is negotiating a lucrative TV deal with Channel 4 to present a new fashion-based programme to air next year.
It’s understood that Chezza has snubbed the lure of returning to ITV, where she worked as a judge on the UK version of The X Factor, and in particular the chance to appear on another Simon Cowell-produced show, Britain’s Got Talent, in favour of Channel 4, where it’s thought she’ll front a fashion show that goes behind-the-scenes of the industry.
A source told The Sun newspaper: ‘Cheryl is hugely passionate about fashion – it’s the thing she loves most after music.’
They also revealed that the TV station is discussing a series of ideas, with Cheryl keen to work on a programme ‘with a bit more depth to it than just a frivolous fashion show’.
The source added: ‘A lot of people only see Cheryl as a pop star who had a stint on The X Factor, but she has more strings to her bow and is raring to make a comeback.’
