Myla Dalbesio is the new face of Calvin Klein’s Perfect Fit campaign. Nothing headline-worthy there. But the fact that Myla is a US size 10, aka a UK size 14, certainly is.

Starring alongside supers including Lara Stone - a UK 8 - and Jourdan Dunn, who at a size 6 is one of the world’s highest-paid models - Myla Dalbesio makes a striking and, what has turned out to be a controversial, appearance.

In the fashion industry, any model over a size 10 is categorized as a size plus-size, something Myla and her fellow campaign stars are fully aware.

But after an American magazine interviewed Myla and referred to her as a plus-size model, a social media furore has followed and in turn made headlines around the world. So on Tuesday the 27 year old beauty with to-die-for cheekbones appeared on national television to give her opinion.

Speaking on America’s ‘Today’ programme, Myla spoke out to defend Calvin Klein and revealed that the brand never referred to her as plus-size: 'Calvin Klein has done something that’s really groundbreaking, which is they released this campaign with what some would say is a normal-sized model, a size 10.'
