From Rihanna to Alexa Chung, see the stars taking the SS15 runway looks to the red carpet...

We may have only just got to grips with winter knits, but the A-list are already one giant step ahead.

Current collections that have been snapped on the red carpet just aren’t enough for these daily papped stars. Only next season’s creations will cut it for their array of launches, premieres and awards ceremonies.

So with the world’s top designers up for grabs, what have they chosen?

See the stars taking the looks from runway to red carpet…

Marion Cotillard Bringing some romance to the red carpet, Marion Cotillard’s pleated Valentino gown gives a heavy dose of style inspiration for next summer’s weddings. We’ll be stealing that retro up-do and red lip look, too.

Alexa Chung Elegant and effortless is everything we’ve come to expect from Alexa’s style so it comes as no surprise that she’s an early adopter of Stella McCartney’s paired-back SS15 collection. This cute navy silk dress with cut-outs and gold buckles is great day or night.

Felicity Jones Every inch the demure starlet, Felicity Jones is one of the first to get her hands on the in-demand Christopher Kane SS15 collection. The collection was inspired by ‘controlled explosions’ hence the fanciful tulle peeking from a structured body. We love.

Rihanna If ever there were a collection made for Rihanna, Tom Ford SS15 is it. Far from demure, this is full-throttle glamour. And while we non-celebs may find it a little difficult to wear this away from the red carpet, we just love how much of an impact it makes when on it.

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley With the catwalks referencing the 70s, it comes as no surprise that high waisted trousers are the shape of SS15. Team with killer heels and a bra top for chic eveningwear a la Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in her Balmain get-up.

Poppy Delevingne Mixing summer’s on-trend embellishment with folksy prints, Poppy Delevingne has us counting down the days until we can get our hands on this rather fabulous French Connection outfit.

Kim Kardashian Ooozing old-school glamour in a navy silk Cushnie et Ochs dress, Kim Kardashian steals the show with an on-trend choker - they’re the jewellery trend of the season, don’t you know?

Gwyneth Paltrow Take note: the 70s are back. But it doesn’t have to be all prints and stomping boots just as Gwyneth Paltrow proves in her sleek and bang-on-trend Tom Ford trouser suit.

Jessica Chastain Romantic and feminine, Jessica Chastain embodies everything we want to aspire to come summer in this dreamy Nina Ricci gown. We’ll be channeling those loose curls all season, too.

Jennifer Connelly SS15 is all about unseasonal textures. From faux fur to leather, it’s all in there, which is why it’s great to see the trend on trial in the form of Jennifer Connelly. Wearing one of the most directional and talked-about collections of the season, Jennifer’s Louis Vuitton get-up can be dressed up or down, day or night.
