The actor confirmed his ex, Katie Holmes, got back in touch following the news of her divorce
Katie Holmes has had all eyes on her since she split from Tom Cruise, and while the star rides out the media storm surrounding her break-up, she’s got back in touch with her former flame, Joshua Jackson.
The actor shared the news of the Dawson’s Creek co-stars reuniting during an appearance on American TV show, ‘George Stromboulopoulos Tonight’ over the weekend. After he was asked if he ever heard from Katie, Joshua quickly said he had done and it was recently.
The star, who is dating Diane Kruger, broke the news saying he’d received a call from the A-lister: ‘Like any old friend, it was like, “Oh, hi how are ya? What's going on?" “I had a kid"; "Yeah, that's crazy, I heard!”'

This was promptly followed by lots of laughter, before Joshua added: 'It was nice, it was very nice, actually.'
The Hollywood stars first dated in 1998 during the first season of ‘Dawson’s Creek’ but it appears their newly rekindled friendship may go further than that with Joshua not ruling out a cast reunion on screen.

He added: ‘We killed the show so I don't think that's ever going to happen. Never say never. If I'm out of work for enough years, absolutely. We'll be old and grey and nasty by the time (that happens).’

We won’t hold our breath then!
One thing that Katie and Joshua may be discussing soon, though, is parenting tips, as Joshua hinted that he and Diane would love to start a family.
He said: 'Kids are one of those things that kind of happen, aren't they? Certainly we're working on it.'
