Victoria Beckham is certainly a girl's girl, not only has she restyled the nation, make that the world, courtesy of her fashion label, but she cares about how we all look and feel in her clothes, in particular her dresses.

The designer du jour spoke to Stylist about exactly what she demands from the dresses in her collection: ‘A great dress makes a woman feel special and should be easy to wear. To be able to put on a perfect dress and know that it is flattering from every angle is really important to me.’

That is most certainly is! Victoria is so passionate about this that she’s re-released her best-selling dresses as part of her Icon Collection, available via her new e-commerce site.

But when it comes to feeling ultra female, Victoria thinks the right pair or jeans as opposed to a hot frock will do the job. ‘Women want to feel good in clothes, but also a little sexy and feminine. The raw wash VB1 is my perfect jean; I live in them at the moment!’

It’s this very sentiment that outranks any trends when it comes to the design stage of the Victoria Beckham collection. Explaining her inspiration she simply said: ‘Essentially I design what I want to wear and what I feel is right for the moment.’
