Tulisa has reportedly been given the chop, after two years on the show...
Tulisa Contostavlos is reportedly facing the axe from the X Factor judging panel, as bosses plan a shake up of the ailing singing show.
According to insiders, Tulisa could be told ‘within weeks’ that she no longer has a place on the show, after it lost a ratings war with Strictly Come Dancing last year.
‘She had a good run,’ one insider told the Sun of the NDubz singer, who replaced Cheryl Cole on the show in 2011.
‘Quite apart from her performance on last year’s show, you can’t have a singer whose album only reached No35 in the charts sitting in judgment on other singers.
‘Tulisa has been on the panel for two years. She had a good run, but all good things come to an end.’
Rumours suggest Tulisa’s fellow judge Louis Walsh could be next in the firing line, although one insider said show creator Simon Cowell will fight ‘tooth and nail’ to keep his pal on the singing show.
‘He will fight tooth and nail to keep him on the show,’ the source explained.
‘It hasn’t reached the shouting stage yet — but if it does, Simon is prepared for the fight.’
Last night an X Factor spokesman said: ‘No formal decisions have been made on the panel for 2013’s X Factor as yet.’
