Things are getting serious for Michelle Williams and Jason Segel

Jason Segel has assured Heath Ledger's family that he will take care of Michelle Williams and daughter Matilda

Michelle Williams seems to have found just what she needs in new boyfriend Jason Segel; the actor is proving to be quite the catch.

We've long had a bit of a crush on Segel. Although not out-of-this-world hot like the Brad Pitts and Johnny Depps of Hollywood, he's handsome, funny and super-talented.

Having swept Michelle Williams off her feet (she's smitten, if these photos are anything to go by), he's now charmed the pants of the late Heath Ledger's family.

Segel, 32, has reportedly contacted Heath's mother, Kim Ledger, to reassure them that he has only the best interests for their son's daughter, Matilda, and former partner Michelle.

'Jason got on the phone and introduced himself to Kim, and then invited the Ledgers to use his home whenever they wanted to fly in from Australia to visit Michelle and Maddie,' a source close to the Ledger family told Radar.

'Kim was blown away by Jason's generosity and the two hit it off right away.

'Now Kim's given his blessing for Jason to marry Michelle and be a stepdad to Matilda,' the source added.
