Kate Middleton has revealed her new secret hobby, with the Duchess of Cambridge admitting she has taken up flying lessons.
31-year-old Kate revealed her new passion for the skies to a commuter while riding a double-decker Routemaster bus around London at yesterday's Poppy Day parade.
Looking gorgeous in a stunning red L.K. Bennett Ami coat with black tights and matching court shoes, Kate and husband Prince William joined 2,000 uniformed personnel, veterans and supporters to raise money for the British Royal Legion.
Chatting to her fellow passengers, new mum Kate told one well-wisher about her late grandfather, Peter Middleton, who used to be a Royal Air Force pilot. 'My grandfather flew planes', she said, before adding: 'I've had a few lessons on fixed wing.'
And with Kate's mum Carole a former air hostess, being airborn is clearly in the Middleton family's blood. Captain Kate, at your service?
The royal parents also chatted away about their newly-christened son Prince George, who they had left at their newly-renovated Kensington Palace home safe in the arms of Nanny Webb.
'He's half asleep,' the Duchess told British actress Barbara Windsor, who joined the two during their London bus ride. 'He's behaving himself this morning,' William, 31, added.
