SEE PICS! The whole of celebville turned up to help the X Factor impresario celebrate

The guest list for Simon Cowell's birthday party this weekend read like a who's-who of cool.

From Kate Moss to Cheryl Cole, via Kevin Spacey and Katie Price - not to mention Dannii Minogue, Alexandra Burke, Myleene Klass, Amanda Holden, Leona Lewis, Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne, David Hasselhoff and hundreds of others - anyone who was anyone was there to help Simon celebrate turning 50.

The £1million party kicked off about 8pm, when guests were driven to Wrotham Park in Hertfordshire by limousine. When they arrived at the party, they were greeted with a 60ft image of Simon projected on the front of the stately home!

The Cowell-fest didn't end there; the Daily Mail reports that waiters wore Simon Cowell masks, specially-designed wallpaper featured Simon's face and even the food featured his initials.

Guests were treated to a distinctly retro meal of alphabet spaghetti - spelling out Simon, naturally - and Shepherd's Pie where the mash was piped into 'S' and 'C'. Only the fishfingers escaped unscathed.

But it seems all the guests had a great time, with many calling it a night past 3am.

Cheryl Cole sat next to Simon on the top table (Ashley was noticeably absent), while Simon's beloved mother Julie sat the other side of him.

Cheryl was sporting huge 80s hair and an aqua Ralph & Russo dress.

Supermodel Naomi Campbell and Simon's brother Nick - who gave a cringeworthy speech - were also on the top table.

Fellow X Factor judge Dannii Minogue didn't make it onto the top table, but neither did Louis Walsh and ex-X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne, although all seemed to enjoy the party nonetheless.

Simon's colleagues from Britain's Got Talent and American Idol also turned up to the party of the year. Amanda Holden, Piers Morgan, Ryan Seacrest and Randy Jackson all stayed out till the small hours.

Kate Moss and Jamie Hince were also guests at the huge affair, but contrary to tabloid gossip, La Moss did not sing for Simon.

Instead X Factor winners Alexandra Burke and Leona Lewis performed for the man who launched their stella singing careers.

One woman who definitely didn't sing was Katie Price. The Mail claims the model is hoping Simon will relaunch her singing career.

Simon's three famous ex-girlfriends also attended, and it seems the women all got on famously. Sinitta, Terri Seymour and Jackie St Claire all looked glowing and glamorous.

Simon made a speech thanking all his guests for coming to his party (bless) and then surprised many by making a heartfelt appeal to those he had had very public spats with.

'We may not always see eye to eye, but we both know that if one of us needed the other, we would be there,' he said.

The birthday boy himself was one of the last to leave the party, finally heading home at 4.45am.

It sounds like the whole event was not to be missed. Luckily he's got another 10 years before planning the next major birthday. Phew!
