Sibling rivals Kate and Pippa Middleton 'very competitive'

The royal bride would have been surprised by all the attention received by sister Pippa on Royal Wedding day, according to reports

Stunning sisters Kate and Pippa Middleton presented a united front on the day of the Royal Wedding, with neither putting a foot wrong as thousands watched them walk down the aisle. You’d certainly never guess there was any sibling rivalry bubbling under the surface.

But there may well be, according to royal author Andrew Morton, who has revealed the Middleton pair are secretly ‘very competitive’

The writer, soon to release William and Catherine: Their Story, would even go so far as to say Kate would probably have been surprised by all the attention Pippa received on Royal Wedding day, after the Maid of Honour sparked an online frenzy over her dazzling dress and svelte figure.

‘I think she would have been,’ he revealed when asked if Kate would have been shocked at the amount of Pippa’s press.

‘It's amazing what a pert backside can do! It's amusing, but it's slightly misogynistic isn't it?’

Branding Pippa’s role on Royal Wedding day an ‘exotic walk-on part,’ he explained he didn’t think the younger Middleton was intentionally trying to steal the limelight.

‘Just as William and Harry are very competitive, Catherine and Pippa are very competitive,’ he said.

‘The day was Catherine's day and Pippa played a significant walk-on part, that was it. I don't think she stole the show. Pippa has an exotic walk-on part.’
