Shakira has revealed that she and boyfriend Gerard Piqué are expecting a baby boy. Shakira and 25-year-old Spanish footballer Gerard announced last month that they were expecting their first child, but in a recent German TV interview the Colombian singer confirmed the child's sex.
'It's gonna be a boy,' Shakira told RTL. 'This guy [Piqué] is the best thing that ever happened to me in my whole life. And now we are having a baby.'
The 35-year-old, who is the founder of the Barefoot Foundation which aids impoverished children, insisted that she will instil her charity work on her son.
'When the baby is born, I'll take him with me on charity trips,' the singer promised. 'He shall learn that he is able to change the world.'
Shakira is due to be a judge on the next season of the US TV show, The Voice.
