Ryan Gosling, aka the most handsome perfect higher being to have ever existed, has said he is taking a break from acting to pursue a career as a director.

Just when moviegoers can't get enough, Gosling told The Huffington Post he's looking forward to taking a step back, 'I've been doing [acting] too much,' he said.

'I've lost perspective on what I'm doing. I think it's good for me to take a break and reassess why I'm doing it and how I'm doing it.'

'And I think this is probably a good way to learn about that. I need a break from myself as much as I imagine the audience does.'

He added: 'There's a lot of pressure to be the lead of a film.

'I have done it. It's not my favourite way to work.'

With his sleepy-eyed communicative stillness and rugged, natural charm, The Place Beyond the Pines actor has become something of a new-generation idol.
