Katy Perry might not be too impressed with Russell Brand's recent stunt
A video of Russell Brand removing his wedding ring, weeks before he announced his divorce from Katy Perry, has emerged.
The comedian posted a three-minute clip of himself on adult website Nudevista back in November, ahead of his week-long tour of various universities in America.
During the video, Brand chats away about his tour and his excitement at spending time with the US college sororities and fraternities.
He says: 'I am going to meet people from sororities and fraternities. I don't know what a sorority is except for what I have seen on Nudevista - that they are sort of sex clubs for women.
Brand, 36, is then seen taking his wedding ring off whilst saying: 'I'm just going to place this somewhere very, very safe for the next week.'
The video is of course all a joke but, in hindsight, it doesn't bode well for the state of Brand's marriage to Perry.
Since announcing their split on 30 December, both Brand and Perry have remained quiet. Perry has used Twitter a handful of times to thank her fans for their support and to announce that she won't be attending tonight's People's Choice Awards.
