Find out what Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall have called their first-born baby girl... and how they told the world the news
Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall have revealed the name of their little baby girl, after welcoming their first daughter into the world last Friday.
The former rugby star revealed the exciting news on Twitter today, naming the new royal addition, Mia Grace Tindall.
'For everyone who has asked what our daughters name, it's Mia Grace Tindall (sic),' he wrote simply.
Every inch the proud father, Mike Tindall took to the social-networking side to describe the birth as 'the best day of [his] life' last week. Aww.
Mia was born at Gloucestershire Royal Hospital on Friday 17 January 2014, and weighed 7lbs 12oz.
'The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Princess Royal, Captain Mark Phillips and Mike’s parents, Mr Phillip and Mrs Linda Tindall, have been informed and are delighted with the news. The baby’s name will be confirmed in due course,' read the official statement.
Mia is Zara Phillips' first child, and the third grandchild for The Princess Royal, and the fourth great-grandchild for The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.
We can't wait for Prince George to have his first play date with little Mia!
