Robert Pattinson has continued on with his Cosmopolis interview schedule and continued to ignore questions about Kristen Stewart
Having laid low at Reese Witherspoon’s ranch in California for the past couple of weeks, Robert Pattinson has been thrown back into the public eye with ferocity as he continues to promote Cosmoplis and dodge questions about Kristen Stewart.
Yesterday the actor appeared on Good Morning America where host George Stephanopoulos, like so many journalists before him, tried in vain to get Rob to talk about the recent scandal involving Kristen Stewart cheating on him with married Rupert Sanders.
Poor Rob, who has coped well under the intense scrutiny of the last few days, got flustered but still refused to give anythng away.
Stephanopoulos started by asking: ‘Everybody just wants to know… how are you doing? What do you want your fans to know about what’s going on in your personal life?’
Ignoring the question, Pattinson replied: [My fans] seem pretty excited about … kind of whatever.’
Obviously feeling incredibly awkward, he then tried to change the subject with humour and joked: ‘Um, I’d like my fans to know that Cinnamon Toast Crunch is just 130 calories [a serving].’
But Stephanopoulos wouldn’t give up and again asked him about his personal life, to which Rob responded: ‘You go into it to do movies. I’m never been interested in trying to sell my personal life. The reason why you go onto TV is to promote movies.’
Later that day, Rob joined the director of Cosmopolis at the TimesTalks Presents: David Cronenberg and Robert Pattinson event at The Times Center in New York, where he ditched the gorgeous Gucci suits he’s worn on the previous two nights and opted for a backwards baseball cap, striped polo shirt and black jeans.
We bet the poor guy can’t wait for this promotional tour to be over!
