Rihanna has reportedly offered to defend her ex at his next hearing in November
Rihanna won’t allow anything to stand in her way of supporting ex boyfriend Chris Brown. Earlier this week she tweeted him to say she was praying for him before his court hearing (that assessed his progress while on probation), and she plans to continue defending the singer.
At Chris’ next appearance in court, scheduled for November, Rihanna reportedly wants to ask Judge Patricia Schnegg not to set another date for his probation hearing. Her reasoning? The Bajan beauty says Chris has shown remorse for his actions – the actions that saw him charged for assaulting Rihanna in 2009.
RadarOnline report the Talk That Talk singer spoke to Chris and offered her continued support after Monday’s hearing where he was let off with a warning for allegedly smoking marijuana in Virginia.
A source told the website: ‘Rihanna told Chris she would go to court on 1 November for his court appearance and tell the judge that she shouldn’t set a hearing to decide if he violated terms of his probation, because he has accepted responsibility for his actions and has apologised to RiRi on multiple occasions.’
And Rihanna has promised to do more than that for her former lover, with the source adding: ‘Rihanna would also tell the judge that Chris isn’t the same person now, as he was on that fateful night when he assaulted her.’
Chris is currently serving out his five years of probation and six months community service follow his assault on Rihanna on the eve of the Grammys three years ago.
