Olympic swimmer Rebecca Adlington has revealed she is the 'happiest person ever,' after getting engaged to fellow athlete Harry Needs over the weekend.

The 24-year-old athlete, who announced she was retiring from competitive sports last month, took to Twitter to announce the happy news.
Revealing that 20-year-old Needs had popped the question, she wrote:'Had the best weekend ever!!! Thank you @Harryneeds for making me the happiest person ever right now #engaged #isaidyes.'
She later added: 'Had an amazing day with some amazing people! #happy #lucky'.
In an interview last year, Rebecca said she thought a wedding would be a long way off.
