We wonder how much sleep Kate Middleton got on the night of the Royal Wedding!
Just how cute is Prince William? He’s revealed that he was so nervous and excited on the eve of his wedding to Kate Middleton that he only slept for half an hour.
Add to his nerves the cheering crowds camped out on the Mall and Prince William was left with a very sleepless night.
In an interview to mark the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, Prince William spilled the beans on his pre-wedding insomnia, he said: ‘They were singing and cheering all night long, so the excitement of that, the nervousness of me and everyone singing – I slept for about half an hour.’
We wonder how Kate Middleton fared over at The Goring Hotel, where she spent the night before the Royal Wedding with her family, including sister Pippa Middleton.
Prince William also went on to say that he and his then fiancee, Kate Middleton, panicked when they first saw the proposed wedding day guest list, but that the Queen quickly put him and Kate at ease.
William said: ‘There was very much a subdued moment when I was handed a list with 777 names on – not one person I knew or Catherine knew.
‘I went to her and said, “Listen, I’ve got this list, not one person I know – what do I do?” and [the Queen] went, “Get rid of it. Start from your friends and then we’ll add those we need in due course. It’s your day.”‘
All’s well that ends well!
