This is how Prince George is celebrating his 6th birthday

Prince George is celebrating his sixth birthday today and he's doing it in style. Forget having a little party with your classmates playing musical chairs and eating jelly and ice cream - he's jetting off for a birthday getaway. And it all sounds very fancy.

According to The Sun, the Cambridges are soaking up the sun on the Caribbean island of Mustique.

Prince William and Kate Middleton take July and August off from royal duties in order to spend time with their little ones - Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. They enjoyed spending the summer holidays in Mustique last year, and the Cambridges were actually there for George's 5th birthday, too. Apparently, he learned to swim in the crystal clear waters and the family loves to do a bit of snorkelling and scuba diving on the island, according to Hello!.

A royal source told Fabulous Digital: 'They are going to Mustique again.

'It is incredibly private and incredibly discreet but not remote. They know and trust the staff who work there and they are creatures of habit.

'Kate used to go there, the Middletons used to go there. The family love it.'

The island has very strict rules when it comes to privacy, enforcing a no-fly zone which means that their holiday won't be snapped by the paparazzi.

The source added: 'It’s about as close as they can come to without going to total wilderness as they did on their honeymoon when they went to an island in the middle of nowhere.

'To go to a place with two bars and a few other people, and not feel totally isolated Mustique is perfect.'
