A French cyclist has hit the headlines because, alongside being an incredible athlete, she apparently is also the spitting image of one Kate Middleton.

Her name is Pauline Ferrander-Prevot and she's 26 years old. She's pretty much as good as you can get at cycling, and in 2015, she was the first person in the history of the sport (as in EVER) to hold the world road title, world cyclo-cross title, and world mountain-bike title, all at the same time.

And if that wasn't enough for you, she's also a five-time elite world champion and a nine-time elite national champion across the various disciplines in which she competes. Oh, and she was the youngest competitor in the Women's road race at the 2012 Summer Olympics, in which she finished eighth. In short, she's a really big deal.

But of course, the thing getting more attention than her sporting skills at the moment is the fact that she apparently looks like Kate Middleton AKA the Duchess of Cambridge.

Social media is awash with comments about the resemblance, with the papers calling it 'uncanny' and others saying that when Pauline's hair is in a ponytail, you can barely tell the difference.

Honestly? We can't see it. To start with, Pauline is blonde, which everyone knows Kate isn't.

In fact, after a very thorough Instagram lurk, the only picture we found where the resemblance was noticeable, was this one.

She's very gorgeous and, more importantly, she's super talented.

But we really don't think she looks much like HRH Kate, do you?
